Apple CEO Tim Cook cashed in on $11.1 million worth of Apple stock today, according to a filing with The Securities and Exchange Commission. 20,178 of Cook’s shares were sold off through a series of 5 transactions at various individual stock prices ranging from $547-$551.
Not a bad pay day.
Cook was given 1 million Apple shares last August. Half of the stocks will be available to him in August of 2016 and half in August of 2021, assuming he stays with the company.
AAPL stock is currently valued at $552/share, making Apple the most valuable company on earth.

Apple included a list of new features in the release notes for iOS 5.1, which became available on Wednesday alongside the announcement of the new iPad. It seems that Apple included some unannounced features as well – some of which enable more iOS device security and management when paired with a mobile device management (MDM) suite or with Apple’s new Apple Configurator tool for iOS.
The new management features seem to be primarily related to Siri on the iPhone 4S and they include the ability to prevent any use of Siri while an iPhone 4S is locked as well as the ability to filter out profanity. Additionally, as noted by the Intrepidus Group, a security consulting

Apple website already lists Italian, alongside Chinese, Korean, and Spanish as languages to be supported sometime in 2012, but Tim’s email confirms the feature is still on track for release this year. It also confirms Tim will be keeping up the tradition of answering customer emails. We’ve tested AT&T vs. Verizon’s LTE in NYC and our guy on the ground in San Francisco was able to test LTE at Yerba Buena today. Results? AT&T smoked Verizon in a bunch of areas around the “new iPad” event.
Those are similar to the results in NYC and we hear the same thing happens in Irvine, CA, for instance.
Why is this? We have out theories.

In the past few hours we’ve seen some significant changes happening at the App Store on iPad which seem to coincide nicely with the launch event tomorrow.
A few hours ago, a few 9to5Mac readers noticed a new top charts that scroll sideways instead of vertically without having to reload every 25. The movement is much more fluid as well. (btw, notice how many kids apps are at the top of the list?)

Pxl Is the iPhone Photo Fun Sans Nostalgia [IPhone Apps]

Someone finally got their hands on both the front and rear shells of the iPad 3 and put them together on video to reveal that what the iPad 3 will look like.
