Owners responding to ACSI's national survey gave an 84-point score to both the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, putting the two Samsung phones just past the 82-point iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S. As part of its new “un-carrier” strategy, T-Mobile USA today announced that it will begin a new deal tomorrow: $0 down for all devices. Now, eligible customers can receive a phone with no money down and pay for the device over 24 months. For the iPhone 5, customers will be able to receive the device for free and now pay an additional $27 on top of their monthly service charges for 24 months. Previously, the iPhone 5 on T-Mobile costed $145.99 with $21 payments per month for 24 months.

Apple is prototyping larger versions of the iPad and iPhone, according to The Wall Street Journal’s supply chain sources overseas. Details are scare, but the report states that Apple is considering a 13-inch display for the iPad, which would be quite the increase from the current 9.7-inch display.

Gather up a substantial clump of geeks in any one place and you’re bound to get some interesting concoctions. In this case, two Comic Con pilgrims have taken a certain favored S-themed superhero and combined it with a certain favored S-themed smartphone. Behold, the Superphone.
The mockups were created by J. Medbury (below) and Alexander Kormishin (above). The Kryptonian font on the phones’ screens is actually Johnny Ixe’s Dataman Next app.

RunKeeper wants to be that motivator, and it just overhauled the training section of its iOS app to match. In the sea of online customer reviews, ratings and what people now know as “foodstagrams,” one more food-driven app has just launched in the market. Epicurator users review food on a dish-by-dish basis, which are then aggregated into an average restaurant rating.

Apple Daily, Nowhereelse and Sonny Dickson all claim to have leaked images of the device's back shell in pastel shades of blue, green, pink and yellow. There's little available to verify the photos' accuracy, but they are at least consistent -- all of them show the same camera holes and logo positioning. Although we likely won't know the truth behind these shots for a few months at best, we won't be surprised if Apple's next starter iPhone is especially vibrant.

The clip pretty much speaks for itself, but it's crazy to see how a slide-to-unlock change that seems relatively minor—and awesome—to us can completely bewilder an illiterate kid, a kid that's a whiz at iOS 6, no less. If you had any doubts that skeuomorphism serves a real purpose, here's your proof that it does. But that doesn't make it any less ugly.
